Otter Holt is a 70’3” traditional style narrowboat built in 1991 by Colecraft. The fit out is superb and the space, comfort and equipment she offers makes her perfect for living aboard or long term cruising. She has been home to the current owner for the last 14 years! She had a hull survey in Jan 2020, and she needs some over-plating down each side of the boat - this is booked in to be done (at the vendors expense) at Easter 2020.
From the cratch covered well deck you enter, through glazed stable doors, the saloon. This is large at 16’ long and has a diesel stove (with back boiler), cupboards and shelves, TV point and room for a sofa and armchairs - the ones currently on board are not part of the sale. The floor is solid wood and she is fitted out in oak.
A good sized and very comfortable pullman style dinette follows. This has storage under the benches and under the floor, and converts into a spare double bed if needed.
The 9’2” galley follows. Utilities comprise of a 4 burner gas hob, separate oven & grill, sink, a microwave oven, a fridge / freezer and a full size washing machine. There is ample storage and prep space on the walnut work tops.
The bathroom is port side off the corridor aft of the galley. A very spacious room with a good sized shower with glass bi-fold door, a ceramic counter top basin, a pump out loo, a spare Porta Potti and a radiator. A side hatch is opposite in the corridor.
In between the bathroom and the bedroom is a large floor to ceiling airing cupboard. The calorifier is in here along with plenty of shelves and space for ironing boards, hoover etc.
The aft cabin is the main bedroom. This is a charming room with a fixed double bed (storage under and over), a dressing table and TV point at the foot of the bed along with a huge double wardrobe.
Steps lead to the engine room. The Thorneycroft engine and diesel 5kw generator are under the boards.
She is centrally heated by either the stove’s back boiler, an Alde gas boiler or a Planar diesel fired boiler. Hot water is from either engine, the stove, the Alde or an immersion, and 230v is from the 5kw generator, the 3kw inverter or a landline.
Otter Holt - a really spacious, comfortable floating home.
