Amongst traditional narrowboat aficionados there is one manufacturer always held in high regard, of course we are talking about Hudson boats that were built at Glascote Basin in Tamworth.

This example replaces the more usual windows with portholes, creating a cosy cabin with an air of privacy, but of course along with steel doors all round, they also increase security.
