Maria was built in Holland in the 1930’s as a cargo carrier, a Kagenar barge. In the 1970’s she was converted into a live-aboard. We found her in Holland in 2012 and brought her back to UK for a full refit. She is a 10ft wide, a perfect widebeam boat to cruise around the canal in.
We’ve been live aboard boaters for over 20 years now and have made sure she is built to last. The hull has been over-plated, regularly maintained and blackened, she is insulted thoroughly and has just had a freshen up.
