Successfully selling boats since 1995, ABNB's constant aim is to provide the standard of service of yesteryear which is so often missing in today's self-centered hectic lifestyle and our commitment to providing a friendly, professional service is second to none.

Our collective boating experience encompasses all aspects of the cut and it is difficult to envisage an area of the canal world in which we wouldn't be able to offer you constructive advice and support, be it realising your dream or hanging up your windlasses.

ABNB started life as the brainchild of Andy Burnett whilst he was the Technical Editor of Waterways World, the popular magazine still at the forefront today. In the early 90's brokers would only sell boats that were taken to their sales base but many vendors were reluctant to abandon their pride and joy, even though they were selling. ABNB pioneered and perfected selling boats from their home moorings which enabled the vendors to participate in the sales process, an opportunity welcomed by many. As the business grew, Crick Wharf became the home of ABNB, enabling boats to also be sold from Crick.

Each boat offered on brokerage includes:

* A very detailed and unrivalled 4-page colour brochure, with a scaled line drawing of the boat

* Dedicated page on our website, www.abnb.co.uk

* An individual detailed display in our Crick Wharf office

* Coverage in National publications

* Individual feature display at Crick & IWA Shows

Potential buyers can:

* View the sales brochure on-line or receive a copy in the post

* View boats at Crick Wharf seven days a week, 9.30 am to 5.30 pm

* View any outlying boat (by appointment only)

* Contact ABNB for impartial advice

* Secure a boat with a fully refundable deposit (up to the point of contract exchange)

* Be confident by using an ABYA Accredited Broker (see www.abya.co.uk)

* Be secure in the knowledge that ABNB operates a ring-fenced Client Account

KARA 1
Here is the chance to lay your hands on a brand new boat without having to wait. LUTER MARIS 39ft 7in cruiser stern SEA OTTER
Nearly all modern narrowboat shells are built from steel, but some are built from aluminium. Constructing craft over many years, Sea Otter boats were, and still are, known for being distinctively different in many ways, but especially for their low maintenance needs. Cleverly there are built in ballast tanks that can be filled with waterway water to go boating and then easily emptied to transport the boat by road. The use of aluminium means that any hull paint coating is purely cosmetic and so removing the need for the hull to be painted. Within a short length, Sea Otter have cleve... read more

TONKA 2 46ft 11in cruiser stern - REVERSE LAYOUT
There is certainly a lot packed into Tonka 2, indeed more than you often find in a larger boat. By having a short foredeck and wider cruiser deck enabled a longer cabin length to be fitted-out with a saloon, shower room, galley and dinette. No, we have not missed the bedroom, as the bed is cleverly hinged away in a saloon cupboard, so making the saloon dual purpose: living area by day and bedroom by night. The bed can be left made-up and simply folds away, which is better done with two people. Even then there is also a double on the convertable dinette and a short child single in the s... read more

GREY WAGTAIL - 57ft 0in Trad with 2+2 berths
There are many benefits to a craft with a Boatman's cabin. In inclement weather steering is a real pleasure with the warmth of the range at your feet and the delicious smell of a casserole slowly simmering away. Being several feet away, engine noise is greatly reduced and you have the added advantage of a totally separate sleeping cabin for family or friends. Grey Wagtails engine room houses a slow running, powerful, three cylinder diesel engine producing a pleasing exhaust note (doubles up as a superb room to dry wet clothing). Ideal for long term cruising or residential use,... read more

WHO CARES Trad with 2 berths
Delightful boat for high days, holidays and especially residential use. Easily recognisable as a Colecraft both inside and out, from the pleasing sweep of the stern to the characterful bow. The well executed interior in light oak and painted panels give an exceptionally bright feel to saloon/galley. Privacy in the bedroom and shower room is enhanced by the use of portholes (now you may think that a cabin with portholes will be a dark and dowdy place), but this is not the case here. Once again the choice of fit-out materials makes the most of the available light. The utility area a... read more

BUTTERCUP Semi-Trad with 2+2 berths
JL Pinder’s of Stoke Works, Worcestershire can trace their boat building history back to the dawn of the leisure boating age, a family owned company which is still being run by the second generation. They have always enjoyed a reputation for building good looking, sturdy craft. Many people would say that the fit-out of Buttercup is basic but a better way of describing it would be no-nonsense with less to go wrong, just allowing you to enjoy what the canals have to offer. Completed in American white oak panels with contrasting darker trim, the interior is a pleasant place to wh... read more

Distinctively a Stoke-on-Trent boat, including elegant lines and additional features to give a traditional style and pleasing handling characteristics. The fine josher style bow is enhanced by a good number of rubbing guards, with the elliptical Stoke boats counter for easier manoeuvring from the bank side. The Stoker features a shortened Boatman’s cabin with a range, table cupboard and crumb drawer. Forward of this is the engine room housing a magnificent Gardner 2L2, which was re-built and marinised by Gardner specialist, Danny Williamson, with a photographic record of this... read more
