Cowburn & Cowpar Ltd. of Manchester in 1936 by Yarwoods as their eighth and last narrowboat and built to a unique design for carrying carbon disulphide in tanks from Trafford Park, Manchester, to Courtaulds at Coventry. Although the tanks were never actually fitted, all of the eight boats worked cargoes of industrial chemicals, oils, lime, salt from Manchester to Wolverhampton and Coventry. Thistle-Do is a lovely 60’ semi traditional style narrowboat built in 2006 by Alkan Engineering and fitted out by Stone Marine. She has lots of space and storage and would make an ideal live-a-board. She was blacked in August 2020 and the Beta 43 engine was new in 2011. She is fitted out in oak faced ply with sapele trim throughout. She had a full survey in October 2020.
