Hull
At the 2008 hull survey, the plates’ thickness was approximately as follows:
Bottom Plate 10mm - now ranges between 8.5mm and 9.9mm
Side Plates 6mm - now ranges between 4.1mm and 6mm
Uxter plate 10mm - now approximately 9.9mm

Perkins four cylinder diesel water cooled with gearbox and shaft drive

Freshwater and washing facilities, plus heating
A fore-peak gas locker holds x2 13kg propane bottles.
The steel freshwater tank approx 170 gallons total capacity and situated below the well deck. The access hatch is screwed down and sealed. This will need to be opened up and checked for corrosion and where applicable cleaned out and sterilised.
Morco instant water heater inside the boiler room powered by 12v Jabsco water pump with an in line Jabsco pump guard and water filter - located under the bed.
A solid fuel cabin heater stove is installed on a concrete hearth and the bulkhead is ceramic tiled against the effects of heat.
Ventilation is provided through x3 mushroom vents and low level grid vents in the fore and aft companionway doors and bulkheads. X3 8a/4b dry powder fire extinguishers and a fire blanket are provided at various locations throughout the vessel adjacent to potential fire hazards
Radiators x 3 in bathroom, cabin and bedroom work whilst the engine is running - potential to plumb and back burner from the stove.
Interior of Whistler
The layout from aft consists of -
Foreward external well deck, forward bedroom, saloon, galley-preparation room, boiler room, toilet/shower compartment, engine compartment and cockpit conning position.
Natural lighting is provided through hinged, wooden windows and a removable butterfly skylight, all double glazed.
Bedroom
A rustic, stable door opens out onto the bow deck, giving glorious views in the summer. A comfortable double bed with memory foam mattress and generous storage space beneath - two floor access hatches and double-door for larger items. Ample storage with bedside tables/drawers plus an upper corner cabinet with stained glass doors.
12volt, gunmetal grey anglepoise reading light above the bed.
The radiator has an attractive cover, which serves as another bedside shelf next to 240v wall sockets.
x2 , bespoke wardrobes, doubling as partition wall to saloon, with stained glass doors. Plenty of shelf storage and pull out clothes rails inside of each.
Saloon and Galley
The present layout provides accommodation for up to 2 people in a single cabin although additional temporary berths could be provided in the saloon; a single berth on the couch and a double berth at the drop-leaf table. x2 more gunmetal grey anglepoise 12volt wall lights plus 240v sockets for extra lighting when the boat is hooked up.
The cabin floor is constructed of approximately ¾ inch thick plywood, laid over with a parquet floor, rescued from a dance hall in North Bristol.
The internal joinery is mainly constructed in plywood with wood trim that has various finishes. It is insulated with polystyrene slab insulation boards.
The butchers block type wooden worktops in the galley are heat proof and have a wipe over finish.
A 1920s copper larder keeps fresh food cool.
A mini Belfast sink, with over-board discharge drain has x2 copper taps and over-head dish draining rack. Ample storage cabinets in duck egg blue with plus first aid kit cupboard.
Saloon seating - a drop leaf table with 1950’s folding stools easily seats two side by side for dining, or works well as an office space.
A built-in sofa has x5 removable cushions (plus durable, removable linen covers) to access extensive storage underneath. A bespoke central sofa table enables a guest to sleep comfortably here.
Boiler room.
Ample storage shelves and hooks. Gas boiler and grey-water whale gulper pump. Urine cassette from compost toilet separator pipe which can be emptied in Elsan points.
Bathroom
The shower has a mixer faucet tap and New York style, adjustable shower head. Narrow storage shelves to the right. Bulkheads are PVC clad. Whalegulper shower tray pump with 12volt switch. A large, decorative mirror doubles as a cabinet and gives the small bathroom a spacious feel. Freshly decorated in 2024.
Bespoke, odourless compost toilet, using Humanure system including spare buckets on well-deck.
To note - a Dometic cassette toilet system can be reinstalled if preferred, this comes with all parts and spares, plus additional cassettes (situated under the bed).
Exterior
Large cruiser stern deck with space to relax and eat outside - newly painted with anti-slip in late 2024. A hinged steel traphatch in the cockpit sole accesses the engine compartment and weed hatch. The aft well deck can serve as a cosy seating space or storage zone; it has a chain lock for bikes or other valuables with lock loop drilled into the metal frame of the boat. The vessel is fitted with a cratch support structure over the well deck with the option to add a scratch cover.
The cabin top offers further outdoor space - ideal for storage, sunbathing, low seated dining and yoga. Anti-slip painted in 2024.

I have the original pre-purchase survey from Bristol in 2008 detailing the good condition of the hull. I have had a 2024 pre-sale hull survey. Recommendations from 2024 survey were completed, plus blacking and sacrificial annodes at Thorne boatyard in January, 2025.
