About this Boat: Previous owner has lived on Argie Bargie since 2017. It has been lovingly improved over the me she has owned it.
Argie Bargie has travelled extensively across the UK canal and Rivers. In Spring 2025 the boat was stripped back to metal and painted inside and out.
The boat has a practical layout, with the bedroom tucked into the bow, a large sociable back deck, with easy access to the engine (BMC 1.5), and a cosy yet spacious kitchen, bathroom, and living room with ample storage throughout.
Key dates and works as follows... Uxter overplating in spring 2018, new drainage welded, new prop shaft, weed hatch and new boards on cruiser stern. The engine is also reconditioned. Cratch fitted in 2018. All windows were taken out in 2021 and resealed and refitted. September 2021: A New steel door and lid were fitted to maximise security. August 2022 new stainless steel bespoke water-fitted and Engine Bay treated and painted by Heyford Wharf in Oxfordshire.
The engine is serviced annually by the owner and by River Canal Rescue.
Galley Description Sink with hot and cold water, and separate tap for op onal water filter. Gas oven and cooker, ample kitchen surfaces and storage. 12 volt fridge.
Lounge Description Mul-fuel wood burner stove. Double sofa with storage underneath. Bookshelves and further storage.
Dinette Fold-out table fitted in 2021 with stools provided.

Bathroom Description: The bathroom was redecorated in 2020. A compost toilet was used most recently on the boat, though a large pump-out tank remains in place if composting isn't for you. Hot/cold water shower and sink.

Hull thickness As per the 2019 hull survey… “Sample of thickness measurements. The original plate measured a nominal 5mm. The side over plates were 5mm, and 6mm around the waterline. The over plate covering the bo om was 5mm. The counter plate was 4.9 port and starboard. The engine cooling tank was on the port side with measurements of 3.99mm.”
