Great opportunity to acquire an incredibly well-built and fitted out Widebeam in London, with a transferrable mooring!
Kalyana has been my home for 8.5 years, and maintained to a very high standard during that time.
Being around boats privately and professionally my whole life gave me the necessary knowledge and skills to keep her in the condition she deserves.
You'll be hard pressed to find a more solid and well thought-out boat on the waterways.
She has two main double cabins, an open plan galley/saloon, and fully fitted heads with a full size bath.
A generoud ~6.5ft Headroom with near-vertical internal panelling gives an extremely spacious feel.
For your own piece of mind, she has a security system and remotely monitored security cameras installed.
Power is provided via 900Ah of LA Batteries in a separate locker with custom two-tiered rack, fitted with watering system for lower level.
2kW Victron Inverter/Charger (Installed Feb 2026) supplies the 230V systems.
4x Panasonic VBHN240SE10 Solar Panels with 3 on Tilt/Swivel Brackets for optimal efficiency.
2x Fresh Water Tanks (Fwd & Aft) with a combined capacity of 1830L give adequate supply for all your needs.
She is also equipped with rain water collection into the Aft Tank for true off-grid living.
Water is filtered through 2x jumbo filters and and additional carbon filter in case this is used.
Hot Water is provided either by the Morco EUP11RS (LPG) room-sealed Water Heater (installed in 2025), or the 2x 60L Calorifiers in the engine bay. These also have electric coils for shorepower.
Alternatively the main heating system can be configured to heat the water too.
During those chillier times, Kalyana keeps you cosy with a Refleks Diesel Stove, supplying underfloor heating.
Yes, UNDERFLOOR HEATING on an inland waterway boat!
Using only gravity to feed the stove, its incredibly efficient, only drawing less than 1A for the hot water circulation pump. Forget waking up in the middle of the night to add coal to a stove!
For the more traditional option, she also has a large multifuel stove that will have you stripping off in the winter.
She is also Double Glazed, which Significantly increases heat retention.
She would definitely make the transition from land-living to boat life seamless, and is ready to move into straight away!
5G Router included for those working remotely, as well as a Google speaker hard-wired.
As an added bonus, I'm throwing in a 3.2m RIB/Tender with 5hp Honda Outboard for those day/evening pub trips to Hackney Wick, and a 2 person Inflatable Kayak.
Price includes mooring transfer fee, so no additional hidden costs.
Serious offers considered for a quick sale.

The (current) main bedroom benefits from an additional Radiator, as a Double (John Lewis) Bedframe with drawers all around, Large Mirror, Various lighting options, and wardrobe storage neatly hidden away.
The second bedroom was being used as an office with a sofabed within. Lots of Natural Light, and leading out onto the large open Fwd Deck area.
The Bathroom/Head has a 12V Macerator Toilet with Ceramic Bowl (connected to 660L Holding Tank), a full size metal bath with rainfall shower above, and also contains a washing machine.
Fitted out with Limestone, it really is unique.
Built by Hixton Boats in 2007.
The final ‘Eco barge’ before the boat builder closed its doors.
Built to the highest specification with a 12/10mm double-chinned hull, 6mm topsides, and 4mm deck-head.
Her unique hull shape - as opposed to the standard flat bottom - makes her very sable in swells, and also has the added bonus of being able to move through silted-up areas.
She was surveyed in 2020 (for my own peace of mind (available on request), during an extensive dry docking (Nov 2020), and had a minimum of 11.7mm, which would pass milling tolerances for freshly milled steel.
Any minor recommendations were completed at that time.
Fully grit-blasted, 2 coats of Jotamastic87 (Epoxy), plus an additional 2 coats of Jotun for a UV Barrier.
Topsides all repainted in Jotamastic87, Acrylic, and a tougher paint on the Fwd & Aft Decks.
Photos from 2020 Dry Dock.
Extremely Reliable Kubota-Beta Marine conversion.
90hp is more than adequate for inland waterways, and gives great confidence when navigating the Tidal Thames.
Regularly Serviced (Last Sept 2025) with new Filters, Belts, & Oil.
Gearbox Rebuilt and Drive Plate replaced (Due to drive plate failure) in Jan/Feb 2025.
The gearbox connects to a 2" Prop Shaft and 22" (55cm) Propellor, providing great thrust, stopping ability, and not easily slowed with the weeds.
Fitted with Duel Alternators (65A & 185A) for recharging Domestic, Starter, and Bow Thruster Battery Banks.
