For Sale: 45ft Colecraft (trad) Lister Engine recently blacked.
Selling my much loved narrowboat, a 45ft Colecraft (trad) which has recently been blacked, (June 2019) as sadly I no longer have the time to spend on her to give her the care and attention she deserves.
She has a lovely feel and a cosy interior which has recently been decorated. She was built in 1971 with good steel and is surprisingly wide inside, but has very narrow gunwales as a result. A good kitchen with full size oven and 4 ring hob, single bowl sink and drainer. The kitchen (and rest of boat) has plenty of storage, and f... read more

Barking Mad (you can rename her if you want currently no sign written) is a beautiful traditional narrowboat, built in 1995 by Colecraft. She is warm, light, and freshly renovated, with a cosy wood burner and brand new solar panels - the perfect combination of tradition and modernity.
Barking Mad travels beautifully on the water. She is easy for a single person to manoeuvre, and so she makes a perfect liveaboard for a single person or couple. Because of her solar panels, she can be more self-sufficient than many boats, and makes a perfect cruiser. She’s the ideal size to travel and ex... read more

'Kizzie' has been my home for the past 18 months and would make a comfortable liveaboard for one or even a couple, as well as a perfect weekend retreat. She was built in 10/6/4 by Reeves in 1994 and fitted out by Bromsgrove Boats. Quality materials (koto T&G and mahogany trims) have been used throughout and she has a cosy, cottage-like, feel. She is powered by a reliable Beta 28 which had a full service in October 2019 along with 4 new engine mounts. A hull survey was carried out in September 2018 which she passed with flying colours and the hull was blacked at the same time. A c... read more

The motor of the hotel pair, The Duke is a very nice 70 footer by Roger Farrington. This hull has particularly pleasing lines with a cabin designed to suggest a traditional stern end with forward section now a cabin over what would have been hold area on a working boat. Internally the present layout may suit as is but the 70ft length provides bags of scope and space for adaption to a new owners requirements. If you are looking for a liveaboard then The Duke could be particularly suitable. If The Duke is purchased by a vat registered business then please remember the pri... read more

Elizabeth was believed to have been built in the 1860s at Warrens Shipyard. She was used as a horse drawn cargo vessel on the Birmingham Canal Navigations for Fellows, Morton and Clayton Ltd until She was converted and motorised in 1936 to a similar style as you see today. The cabin conversion used two inch mahogany planking for the sides, with three inch pitch pine caulked decks. Some of the mahogany has since been replaced with iroko.
Elizabeth was purchased by her present owner in 1966 who has travelled extensively on virtually all the interconnected rivers and canals of England as well... read more
