Reference: | 2136 Miss Garnet |
Miss Garnet is a lovely boat. She is a 62’ Semi Trad built in 2005 by the highly regarded G& J Reeves and fitted out by Reading Marine Company. She is in really nice condition both inside and out (although the paintwork below the gunwales is in need of some attention).
She was last blacked in April 2023, and she had a full survey conducted in 2020.
This is a reluctant sale, and she has been well presented for market.
The two gas bottles are in the bow locker and the well deck is 4’ long. It is covered by a cratch cover and has the integral water tank under. There are bench seats / lockers either side and there is also a demountable table which fits in here.
Steps lead into the saloon. This is 11’ long and has an L shaped dinette with demountable table (this converts to a spare double berth). There is a Bubble diesel stove and various cupboards & shelves. There is also a 24” 240v TV and a JVC stereo (but only the speakers in the rear cabin work).
The galley follows. This is 8’ long and utilities comprise of a 12v fridge (with ice box), a four burner gas hob with eye level oven & grill with microwave over. There is a sink and there are plenty of storage options in various cupboards and on shelves. There is also a 12v freezer, but this is declared as not working.
A door leads, passing a floor to ceiling larder cupboard, to the bedroom. This has a fixed double bed (6’3”x4’1”) with storage under. There is a cupboard over the head end and at the foot of the bed there is a wardrobe with two other cupboards, one housing the washing machine at the bottom of it.
The bathroom is a great arrangement. It is walk through, but with the Compoost loo isolated within its own separate cabin. The shower is a vinyl lined cubicle and there is a heated towel rail.
A door leads into the aft babin which is effectivley a second sitting room / day room / office. It has an L shaped couch (with table) which converts into another spare double berth. There is storage under, along with another wardrobe and cupboard. This could also be turned into a bunk room for children.
Steps lead up to the semi trad stern deck. There are seats / lockers either side and the engine, a Beta 43 with hospital silencer, sits under. It was last serviced in November 2024. Propulsion is aided by a bowthruster.
She is centrally heated by a diesel fired Webasto boiler and the calorifier is heated by the engine, the Webasto or an immersion heater.
12v power is supplied from the bank of 4 domestic batteries, and 230v is from either landline hook up or the 2200w Mastervolt inverter / charger. The 3.5kva Travel Power generator is not working. She also has 660w of solar power and a Galvanic Isolator.
