Perfect as a liveaboard or for leisure cruising, Otto has been our cosy home on the London canals and, most recently, in Roydon for the past 18 months. The previous owners lived on her in London for just over 5 years before upgrading to their Widebeam. She is now ready for her new owners to enjoy her as much as we have, as we’ve decided to move onto land to grow our family.
Currently moored just outside London near Roydon Station, offering easy, direct access to Tottenham Hale (20 mins) and Liverpool Street (30 mins), making her ideal for commuting into the city or working remotely.
Living
At the heart of Otto is a bright, open-plan reverse layout living and kitchen space - recently modernised whilst retaining her rustic charm. Big, airy windows offer a tonne of natural light and the swan hatch is often open to give a natural breeze. The pull out sofa doubles as a guest bed or a comfy lounge spot, paired with a wall-mounted 12V smart TV for relaxed evenings in. The Morso muliti-fuel stove has kept us ridiculously warm through a few chillier winters!
Kitchen
A large kitchen with long oak work surfaces makes it easy for two people to be prepping in at once. This is accompanied by a pale green Swan retro-style 12v fridge/freezer that works efficiently off grid, even on cloudy days. A generously sized gas oven and 4-ring hob massively helps with shared meals and cooking for friends and family - the last owner was a chef and still tells us he misses it! A fold-out dining/work table sits between kitchen and living space, great for remote working or entertaining friends. If you are a confident host and enjoy having friends over like us, you can comfortably fit 4-5 people around it when open fully.
We’ve recently installed stylish magnetic blinds which provide privacy and warmth, creating a cosy nook in colder months. With a 4G WiFi router and remountable roof aerial installed, the boat is set up for streaming, browsing, or working from home on the move.
Down the hallway, there are 3 neatly fixed bookshelves which offer great additional storage.
Bathroom
The bathroom is on your right from the kitchen with a lockable door for privacy. Featuring a ceramic toilet, with a recently replaced seat and pump, a shower cubicle with curtain, and a handbasin with attractive brass taps. Plenty of cupboard storage is underneath the sink, as well as shelves to the right made of rustic scaffold boards (ideal for towels and bathmats). Freshly painted in sea-blue gives it a clean and bright feel, ideal for everyday use.
Bedroom
At the stern lies a tranquil master bedroom, recently painted a regal green to incorporate some of natures beautiful outdoors within the bedroom. The cosy double offers under-bed storage with an additional large cupboard at the end of the bed. There is also an open wardrobe with hanging rail and underneath storage, offering plenty of room for clothes and essentials.
Engine Room & Outside (Roofdeck)
Finally, the engine room is at the stern, with access to the batteries and solar panel. For dining al fresco, we have a small table and chairs we use to sit out on the bow. We have recently installed a roof deck which is great for BBQ’s and sunbathing.. perfect for this time of year!
We’ve experienced both cruising and living on a marina whilst owning Otto and can honestly say both have been an equally wonderful experience. We’d be happy to talk the differences through with any curious prospective buyers.
Any further questions please feel free to reach out and get in touch. We are available for viewings for serious buyers and would consider fair and reasonable offers.
