Built in 1993 by the current owner on a shell from Evans and Sons, Rhoda Ellen is a charming, traditionally laid-out narrowboat coming to the market after 32 years of cherished leisure use.

Designed with simplicity in mind, her straightforward systems mean there is less to go wrong.

She comfortably accommodates up to six people, featuring a permanent double berth and two make-up berths. The aft cabin offers versatile fixed seating, offering a dining area, additional double berth or a place to sit and work from.

The galley is equipped with gas cooking, an under-counter fridge, and an instantaneous water heater for continuous hot water. The shower room includes a wash basin, shower, and pump-out toilet.

A solid fuel stove with a back boiler provides cosy cabin heating.

Rhoda Ellen is an attractively priced vessel offering great potential. In January 2026, the hull sides and bottom plate were grit blasted and coated with 2 pack epoxy, together with overplating to the waterline, pit welding and a gas locker re-plate. The major steelwork has been completed to a professional standard by Debdale Wharf, leaving only cosmetic improvements for her next owner to consider.
