Introducing Kettle, a charming 60ft traditional stern narrowboat built by Dave Clarke. Lovingly cared for by her present owners, she presents as a warm and welcoming liveaboard or leisure cruiser, ready for new adventures on the waterways. Measuring 60ft by 6ft 10in, Kettle offers the timeless appeal of a trad stern layout combined with practical, comfortable accommodation suited to extended cruising or residential use.
Inside, the boat features a cosy and inviting interior with two berths in total. Freestanding bunk beds provide flexible sleeping arrangements and can easily be replaced with a double bed if preferred. The walkthrough bathroom is fitted with a cassette toilet, vanity basin and shower over bath, providing all the essentials for life afloat. The galley is equipped with a cooker and a 12v fridge/freezer, offering convenient onboard catering facilities. Flooring is finished in lino, with refreshed painted tongue and groove cabin sides creating a classic narrowboat feel throughout.
Kettle is powered by a BMC 1.8 diesel engine with four cylinders and keel cooling. Fuel capacity is approximately 200 litres, and the vessel is built with steel plating of 10/6/4 on a flat bottom hull. She carries a generous water tank capacity of around 1,100 litres. Hot water is supplied via a calorifier and Rinnai gas boiler, while onboard heating is provided by a multifuel stove, ensuring comfort throughout the seasons.
The electrical system includes both 12v and 240v capability, a 2.5kw pure sine wave inverter, one starter battery and four leisure batteries. Two solar panels with an MPPT solar charge controller support onboard power, and a galvanic isolator is also fitted. Additional features include a cratch cover and side hatch, enhancing usability and protection in all weather conditions.
The boat has been well maintained, having been blacked in June 2024 and benefitting from a full internal repaint, along with refreshed external paintwork. She was last surveyed in 2024 and holds a valid Boat Safety Certificate until 2029. Kettle represents a well-maintained and attractively priced narrowboat with character and potential, ideal for those seeking a traditional style vessel with practical living space. Viewings are by appointment only.

A boat is not valued on its age. The age of a boat is irrelevant. A boat is valued based on who built the hull? Who fitted the boat out and what type of materials were used (Hard wood or MDF etc) What equipment does the boat have (Bow thruster, generator, inverters etc) These are just a few of the many factors that equate to the correct value of a boat.

BUYERS & SELLERS
When you buy a boat from us you pay all monies in to our company clients trust account which means that the buyers and sellers money is protected. This is the same account that solicitors set up for house sales .This money does not belong to the company it belongs to the buyer until the sale is complete and then we pay the seller from the company clients trust account. We cannot release the money from the Clients Trust Account to the seller until the vessel has been accepted and handed over to the buyer because if there was a fault with the vessel and the buyer refused to accept it and wanted their money back we could not do this because the seller would of already had the money. This could become a very costly and messy problem for all parties.
This money never enters our company current account. This also means that we cannot use customers money for other purchases/reasons. If at any point the company went bust then the buyers/sellers money is safe and it would go back to the rightful owner of the money.
We have had this company clients trust account set up from day one to protect our customers money. This account is a secure holding account. We pay the seller monies due from this account when the buyer has signed to accept the vessel. Payment is made from this account to the seller by cheque from the clients Trust Account which is protected guaranteed funds.
