Description

South Downs is a charming 55’0” semi-trad narrowboat built in 2005 by Colecraft. She is fitted out in a mix of oak faced ply and tongue and groove, with engineered oak flooring for a light and modern feel.
She was 2pk Epoxy blacked in July 2021, with a survey from May 2017 available for viewing in the office.
The cratch covered well deck is 4’0” with lockers either side, and a folding table for al-fresco dining. The 400L integral water tank is housed below.
Steps lead down, through glazed stable doors, into the 10’0” saloon. Here is a large sofa bed which converts to a spare double, Morso 1400 multi fuel stove, Samsung 240v TV, and a range of shelves and cupboards for storage.
Next is the pullman dinette, with storage under, which converts to a second spare double when needed.
The 7’7” galley follows, with oak block worktops, enamel coated sink, 12v Shoreline fridge, Stoves 500 DIT oven, grill & 4 burner gas hob, and lots more cupboards. A starboard side hatch with roof access, and demountable fly screen, brings in additional light and fresh air.
Following, the 6’0” off-corridor bathroom features a bath with shower over, ceramic counter sunk wash basin, and a Thetford cassette toilet. A tall cupboard sits in the corridor as well.
The bedroom is next, with a fixed 6’2” x 4’0” double berth, with drawers under and a shelf over. A Candy Aquamatic washing machine sits to one side of the aft steps, with a large wardrobe to the other.
Leading out onto the semi-trad deck, the Beta 43 engine is house below, serviced in May 2023. There are lockers either side, and a tonneau cover to protect the deck from the elements when moored up.
She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher diesel fired system connected to 3 radiators, and hot water is provided by the Eberspacher or the engine.
12v power is supplied by 3x 110ah domestics, with a separate starter. 240v power is via the Sterling 3kw inverter, or landline hook up (with a galvanic isolator). A Victron charger and battery monitor are also installed.
Lighting on board is mostly LED.
She is fully equipped for liveaboard life, and will make somebody a lovely floating home.
