53ft All Steel Colecraft Narrowboat built in 1997.
The boat is being sold with all fixtures and fittings and berthed in Bradford on Avon Marina on the Kennet and Avon canal near Bath.
THE BOAT
Galanthus has been my home for over 20 years but now it is on offer fully fitted with all furniture, and everything needed to move on board. Also it is with a mooring in Bradford on Avon Marina, with agreement of the Marina Manager.
The hull has been blacked every two years with 2 Pack Epoxy applied in 2024.A Boat safety examination was carried out in February this year.
Duel gas bottles a side locker and anchor are at the bow, with an integral stainless steel fresh water tank below. A side hatch opens in to the galley and at the rear is the cruiser stern giving easy acces to the 3 cylinder 27HP Lister diesel engine, 3 leisure batteries and1for engine starting. Also outside are poles, a plank, life ring and two solar panels for battery charging while cruising.
Inside is a Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove,TV, Freeview Box, DVD Player and CD Player. Seating is provide by two reclining leather chairs plus footstools. A coffee table,wardrobe is also in this area.
In the galley there is a four burner separate grill and oven gas cooker. A 12volt fridge/freezer, microwave, kettles, toaster and stainless steel sink, also cook ware, utensils, cutlery and table ware.
There is a fixed double bed in the centre of the boat with storage and the toilet holding tank.
A pump out toilet, wash basin and walk-in shower are in the bathroom.
Moving further back is the Dinette which converts into another double bed. Below the seats there is a calorifier hot water tank with immersion heater and storage.
At the very back is a large wardrobe housing a top loading Zanussi washing machine. Rear steps go up to the cruiser stern with a battery charger,a pair of 3000watt and 300watt inverters below. Finally a pair of two-way radios, an oil filled radiator and a digital safe for your valuables.
THE MARINA LOCATION
Drinking water and 240volt electric is available at the berth, allocated car parking, a shower and toilet block. Also there’s a friendly coffee shop and pub overlooking the boats.Shaded grassed areas for relaxing in the summer are a pleasant addition.
On the main road outside the marina are bus stops into the lovely towns of Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge with their shops, pubs and railway stations for easy access to the Roman city of Bath, also Bristol with it’s bustling harbour.
