Description

Sarah Jane is a charming and starightforward reverse layout 50’ cruiser stern narrowboat built in 2015 by Cauldon Boats.
The paintwork is in reasonable condition and she is due a blacking having last been blacked in 2021.
The stern deck is well proprtioned at 7’ long and is a good social space whilst cruising. The engine, a Craftsman Marine 42hp with hospital silencer, sits under the deck boards. This was last serviced in October 2025. The two gas lockers are on the stern deck which also serve as seats.
Steps lead down into the galley. This is over 11’ long and utilities comprise of a stainless steel sink with drainer, a 12v fridge, a separate 12v freezer, a 3 burner gas hob, oven & grill, a microwave and a washing machine. There is also plenty of storage. The electrics cupboards are either side of the steps and there is a Sony radio / CD machine.
The 9’10” saloon follows. This is open plan and has a two seater sofa (could be changed for a sofabed), a solid fuel stove and a 32” TV / DVD.
Sliding doors lead into the bathroom. The floor is tiled and there is a pumpout loo, a quadrant tiled shower unit, and a ceramic basin set over a cupboard.
The bedroom is in the forward cabin. The fixed double bed (with storage under) measures 6’6”x4’ and there is a wardrobe / tall storage cupboard at the foot of the bed.
Steps lead out, through an off set front door, to the well deck.
The well deck measures 3’10” and the integral water tank is in the bows.
Hot water is heated by the engine and an immersion heater. 12v power is from the bank of 3x 180ah domestic batteries, topped up by 400w solar power, and 230v is from either the 3kw Sterling inverter or landline hookup.
All the lights, including under gunwale and floor level mood lighting, are LED.
