Description
Siskin is a 57ft tug-style narrowboat built in 2011 by the highly respected Simon Wain of Brinklow Boat Services. The fit-out was partly completed by his brother, Rex Wain, together with Dave Gunby, with the remaining work carried out by the original owner to an exceptionally high standard. The traditional back cabin decoration was completed by renowned canal artist Phil Speight.
Externally, Siskin is a faithful recreation of a Yarwoods-built Coburn and Cowpar motor, finished in traditional company livery. The boat benefited from a professional repaint in 2024, and the paintwork remains in excellent condition.
The interior has been completed to an uncompromising standard, featuring exotic hardwoods throughout and a sophisticated electrical installation. Power is provided by a marine Gardner 3LW.
Combining authentic styling, exceptional craftsmanship and one of the most desirable marine engines available, Siskin is a striking and characterful craft that will undoubtedly appeal to discerning enthusiasts of traditional narrowboats.
