Kingfisher – 59ft Aqualine Madison Narrowboat
Built in 2008 by Aqualine as their popular Madison model, Kingfisher is a beautifully presented 59ft cruiser stern narrowboat, offering the perfect balance of quality construction, comfort, and practicality for life on the water. Measuring 59ft in length with a beam of 6ft 10in, she features a robust steel hull specification of 10/6/5/4 plating and a flat bottom design, built to navigate both canals and rivers with ease. The interior is finished to a high standard with oak cabin sides, wooden flooring, and sprayfoam insulation, ensuring a warm, dry, and comfortable living space all year round. Light and ventilation are well catered for with top-opening windows throughout.
Power comes from a reliable Isuzu 42hp four-cylinder diesel engine, cooled via keel cooling and paired with a Newage 150 gearbox. Manoeuvrability is enhanced by a Vetus bow thruster, making handling in tight spaces straightforward. The electrical system is fully equipped for both on-shore and off-grid living, featuring 12v and 240v supplies, a Sterling Pro Combi S 2kw inverter, a dedicated Sterling battery charger, and four 165w solar panels. The battery bank includes one starter, three leisure, and one bow thruster battery, plus a galvanic isolator for added protection.
Heating and hot water are reliably provided by a combination of calorifier, immersion heater, and Webasto central heating, while a traditional Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove adds character and extra warmth on cooler days. The galley is well-appointed with a Belling cooker, a Haden fridge/freezer running on 12v, and granite worktops offering plenty of preparation space. Accommodation is flexible and spacious, sleeping up to six people comfortably with a fixed double berth, plus additional sleeping space created from the dinette and sofa, which both convert into double beds. The bathroom includes a pump-out toilet, a shower, and a vanity basin, completing the onboard facilities.
Kingfisher has been carefully maintained and is ready to cruise. She holds a valid Boat Safety Certificate until March 2028, meets Recreational Craft Directive standards, was blacked in May 2025, and had her engine fully serviced in April 2026. A full out-of-water survey was completed just this past May 2026, giving you confidence in her condition. Additional features include a pram cover and side hatch, adding to her practicality and comfort.
Moored in Staffordshire and available to view by appointment only, this is a fantastic opportunity to own a well-built, well-equipped narrowboat with plenty of life ahead.

BUYERS & SELLERS
When you buy a boat from us you pay all monies in to our company clients trust account which means that the buyers and sellers money is protected. This is the same account that solicitors set up for house sales .This money does not belong to the company it belongs to the buyer until the sale is complete and then we pay the seller from the company clients trust account. We cannot release the money from the Clients Trust Account to the seller until the vessel has been accepted and handed over to the buyer because if there was a fault with the vessel and the buyer refused to accept it and wanted their money back we could not do this because the seller would of already had the money. This could become a very costly and messy problem for all parties.
This money never enters our company current account. This also means that we cannot use customers money for other purchases/reasons. If at any point the company went bust then the buyers/sellers money is safe and it would go back to the rightful owner of the money.
We have had this company clients trust account set up from day one to protect our customers money. This account is a secure holding account. We pay the seller monies due from this account when the buyer has signed to accept the vessel. Payment is made from this account to the seller by cheque from the clients Trust Account which is protected guaranteed funds.
